Barcelona, Spain, Stadium
Europe's largest stadium, rebuilt around Barça's original 1957 stands
FC Barcelona's home in the Les Corts district has been the biggest stadium in Europe since 1957. A rebuild that started in 2023 adds a third tier and a roof over every seat, while Barça play in it again as it grows.

Departures
After the show
Les Corts and Collblanc stations fill up quickly. Walk to Maria Cristina or Sants Estació, or wait in one of the bars in Les Corts.
Bags and entry
Large bags and backpacks are not allowed, and there's no left-luggage at the stadium. Bring a small bag only.
On the day
Gates usually open about 90 minutes before kick-off and 2 to 3 hours before a concert. Your ticket shows the gate (Accés) to use, and the walk around the outside of the stadium can take 15 minutes, so head to the right side from the start.
Travessera de les Corts
The street along the north side is lined with bars and tapas places that fill up with fans two hours before kick-off.
Carrer de Sabino Arana
Quieter local restaurants with set lunch menus (menú del día), a 10-minute walk from the stadium.
L'Illa Diagonal
Shopping centre on Avinguda Diagonal with a supermarket and food court, handy for a quick, cheap bite.
Barça, Blaugrana
Owned by its members and known by the motto Més que un club (More than a club). Barça's blue and claret shirts and the anthem Cant del Barça are a symbol of Catalan identity.

Pitch / stage
Pitch / floor
First tier
Low and close to the pitch, built partly below street level.
Second tier
The best overview of the game, with the main stand (Tribuna) on the west side.
Third tier
Very high and steep. It is being rebuilt with a roof over every seat.
Best for a concert
Second tier facing the stage
The best balance of view, sound and distance. You see the whole stage and the screens without craning your neck.
Best for football
Lateral and Tribuna, middle tiers
The long sides give the classic TV view of the pitch. The Tribuna is the main stand with the press and VIP area.
On a budget
Third tier, Gol Nord or Gol Sud
The cheapest tickets, behind the goals and high up. Loud and fun, but bring binoculars for a concert.
In the shade
Tribuna (west side)
For evening games and shows the sun sets behind the main stand, so this side is in the shade first. The opposite Lateral faces the low sun.
Tap a year or let the story play
Barça outgrew their old ground in Les Corts after the arrival of Ladislao Kubala filled it every week. The new stadium, which fans simply called the Camp Nou (the new ground), opened on 24 September 1957.
It hosted the opening match of the 1982 World Cup, the 1989 European Cup final and the football final of the 1992 Olympics. In 1999 Manchester United scored twice in injury time here to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
In 2023 Barça moved to the Estadi Olímpic on Montjuïc so the stadium could be rebuilt. They came back in November 2025 with part of the stands open, and work on the new upper tier and roof continues around the matches.
Yes, Barça play there again since November 2025, but with lower capacity until the new upper tier is finished.
Yes, the Barça Immersive Tour runs almost every day and includes the museum and a view of the pitch.
Line 3 to Les Corts or Palau Reial, or line 5 to Collblanc. All are about a 10-minute walk away.
Usually about 90 minutes before kick-off for football and 2 to 3 hours before a concert. The exact time is on your ticket and in the club or promoter app.
The lower and second tier facing the stage give the best mix of view and sound. The side stands near the stage are close but at an angle, and the upper tier is cheaper but far away.
Quiet residential district within walking distance of the stadium.
